IMG_5904

Jeg glæder mig til mange flere.

DAY 91 – FABULOUS DAY

IMG_5871

Today, Wednesday, I was so lucky that Tiffani would help me with my article for journalism before school. So I prioritized the article and dropped the morning training, since my article was to be delivered later that day.

On the way to the library, where I was to meet with Tiffani, my bag was hit by guano – a lucky crab as said in Danish.

IMG_5846

I was more than grateful that the blob did not hit my head!

Tiffani was a great help and I ended out with a good article on the media, YouTube.

In the midst of my debate class, I was called to the office, and I thought for a moment that I had done something wrong. But it turned out that we had a substitute teacher in my first period, cross country. The substitute had marked me absent, since I had not been in the locker room but the library. The substitute did, of course, not know about my agreement with my coach that I just go to the library when I want to. I convinced the woman behind the counter that my story was true and signed some papers.

The show choir, Expressions, had after-school rehearsals for Madrigal Dinner, which is the choral show, I have to attend in two weeks.

IMG_5866

It sounded so good! I look forward to hear them perform at the real show.

I sang with Tushar, Chili, Dorian and Nikki. Nikki is a fantastic singer and has written lots of good songs. She sang for us and performed a fabulous performance!

IMG_5872

After tones and rhyming words, I went back to the debate room. There I prepared on my speaches for the debate tournament, I’m going to this weekend. I am super excited, but also nervous about the advanced language that is often used among debate students.

I found out that my debate teacher could read when she was three-years-old and had never opened a book in high school, but was still offered the most prestigious scholarship in the United States, which her mother turned down on her behalf. Mrs. Hollis, as she is called, is an admirable and surprising woman.

After debate, I went to the locker room to pick up my laundry and met along the way Julia and Robert. We hung out a bit and talked about Julia’s dreams of becoming super, super good at tennis.

IMG_5879

In the dressing room I talked with some of the boys who had not yet gone home, and I decided to go out on the athletics track and run as I did not run this morning. On the field, I met Matthew and his friend Sergeant.

IMG_5890

Sergeant and I raced in the 100 meters and he won. I ran it in 13.2 seconds and Sergeant of 11.4 seconds.

As lucky I had been driven home by Matthew’s father, I took a bath before Molly drove me to youthgroup in the church, when Chris had church choir rehearsals. Jason, the youth leader, had come home again after missionary in Nepal for three weeks. We heard a little bit about his stories and welcomed him home.

IMG_5893

IMG_5900

We went after the evening’s activities to Chick fil-A. It was different being with church people without Chris. We had fun and talked about serious topics such as college and dedication to work.

After I was driven home by Aimee, the assistant youth leader, I wrote today’s daily letter with a smile on my lip. Today was a day filled with activities and good experiences.

IMG_5904

I look forward to many more.

VI VANDT!

DAG 90

IMG_5829

DAY 90 – WE WON!

Today, Tuesday, started with a nice run of ten kilometers. I ran with Jack, Shawn and Lucas. We did not run the fastest we could, as today’s trip was not speed training but was to get kilometers in the legs before Thursday’s test run.

Later in the day, in my math class, the whole class had to compete in groups against each other. I got together with Macy, Hanna and Cadence, and we went strong to win. The groups had to solve twelve problems, and the first two groups to finish would be rewarded with candybars.

     WE WON!

In journalism we did, as usual, not really anything. So we played games on the computers and talked.

IMG_5829

IMG_5828

After school, I sang with Tushar and Dorian in one of the music rooms in the choir room. Of course it was fun.

IMG_5831

I went home to get some dinner before the evening rehearsal on the school musical Oklahoma!. On the way home I passed the vending machines at the school to buy an apple juice – because the US apple juice is just super good!

IMG_5865

At home I ate dinner and went with Chris back to school, where we arrived a little before the rehearsal. I talked with Chassity and my big buddy Christina before the rehearsal started. We just had a good time and talked before we had to sing the advanced musical songs.

Chris and I then went home and called it a day.

SMAGEN AF CHOKOLADE OG LYDEN AF ANDERS AGGERS BEROLIGENDE STEMME

CASPER-I-USA

DAG 89

DAY 89 – TASTE OF CHOCOLATE AND ANDERS AGGERS PEACEFUL VOICE

Today, Monday, I woke up for the last time up in Proodian house. It was the end of a pleasant and exciting stay in another family.

The wake-up time was once again at. 5:00! Chris drove himself and I against school hours. 05:45. I was put in front of the locker room and got ready to run. Payton, who had been with in my homecoming group had first training session today as he unfortunately had not come on the basketball team. I ran, however, with Payton are some of the other boys who set out on a ten kilometerstur.

IMG_5813

I went to the athletics track, where I plan pickle a test runs in preparation for the test runs all runners would take part in Thursday morning – three days from today.

The race Sten would consist of a mile. I warmed up and got ready to run four rounds on the red altetikbane. To run one mile must run four rounds, and I ran my first round at 1:12.

IMG_5815

It was a bummer. I would like to get in five minutes on the test, and right now I got to come in at 4:48 minutes, if I held the go – but I would not be able to sprint four rounds. Then I realized that I had two morning practice sessions before the test to find out what in the world I should do to improve my time.

I went to the library after my disappointing morning runs, where I hung out in the first hour with YouTube and Instagram.

After a long day at school, it was time to swing dance club. It was nice, but a tad more serious than the last meeting.

Molly and Byron’s flight was delayed, so they’d first come home after dinner time, so Chris and I ordered a pizza from Domino’s. We would have used the new twitter feature that allows buyers to order pizza in through Twitter, but we could not get it to work, so we must try next time.

IMG_5819

Chris had to scout. So I lay in my bed and tried to catche up in the Danish programs, I usually accompanies. I ate a roll CENTER, which is my favorite chocolate, sent by my grandmother and grandfather.

IMG_5823

It’s great that I have begun to appreciate the small things like the taste of chocolate and the sound of TV host Anders Agger’s calming Danish sound.

Comfortablely I layed down to sleep.
